Water System Management Services

Community Water Systems

Running and maintaining a community water system is a challenging job. Consider that fact that many people operating these systems do it on a part-time basis, and usually as a volunteer. You're concerned with not only supplying clean drinking water on a daily basis, but you also have the job of making sure the financial aspects of running a system are addressed.

Inevitably, one of the biggest issues usually addressed by smaller water utilities are "we can't afford a full time operator. How do we find a part-time, experienced, state licensed operator"? Most time you don't. Even part-time employees are expensive to carry on the books. Sometimes you may approach an existing employee from a nearby town. Frequently, that person would not be willing to take the necessary steps to start a business and carry the insurance necessary for the job.

Rose Water System Management is your solution. We offer a variety of services you may contract for, from administering sampling and reporting duties, to actual operation of your sources, administering a variety of programs, and even assisting your board in tackling the administrative duties they have been charged with.

Mobile Home Parks

Mobile Home parks provide many challenges to operate. Usually, there are scarce or no actual piping records on hand. This can be a real problem should an emergency arise requiring that a particular unit or street be shut down. Also, water supply systems are usually in a state of neglect, so when breakdowns occur residents are without water for prolonged periods. Also, governing agencies have recently begun to tighten up on these types of systems. Coming into compliance is becoming a priority to these agencies.

Rose Water System Management is skilled at bringing, and keeping, your water system in compliance with state standards. We also communicate regularly with the state and county, so you don't have to keep up with changing standards and directives.

Wouldn't it be nice to know that your water system is supplying your residents with safe, clean drinking water? That's one less problem you have to address in your busy schedule. We handle everything from routine monthly coliform sampling and reporting to addressing all other compliance issues related to the operation of your water system.

Seasonal Systems

Seasonal systems pose a special need for a well-seasoned operator. These systems tend to be unique in their layout and operational needs. Usually, different persons may be responsible for their operation from year to year.

Because they are not used many months of the year, proper sanitation of facilities must be exercised. Often, the source water comes from springs, ponds, or shallow wells. This can be problematic in making sure the water source has not been contaminated with fecal Coliform (E-Coli) from rodents during the off-season. You certainly wouldn't want a camp of kids contracting this possibly fatal bacterium. Proper water testing before and during operation is critical.

Schools

The benefits of having a state licensed water operator on staff to operate and maintain a school's water system are too many to list. No school needs bad press from a drinking water situation. The heightened scrutiny from parents can be all that is needed to make the decision to add a well experienced operator. The added security of knowing that you are doing everything possible to ensure that your students and faculty are consuming safe drinking water every day is one less worry to manage. Additionally, the overseeing agency would be satisfied that you are complying with the required testing required to operate the water system. We can even provide a report should it be needed for a board meeting or newsletter.

Rose Water System Management is prepared to engage in all aspects of the operation of your water system, from sampling and reporting, to handling the day to day operational requirements. Give us the opportunity to discuss with you our plan for your school's drinking water needs.
